Since Logan's birth we have...

...Welcomed Peter's parents home from North Carolina and introduced them to our little Logan on Saturday the 4th (Grandma and Grandpa Jay and Auntie Anna came by that afternoon for a visit as well and got to meet Logan for the first time:

... had family over for BBQ and fireworks on the 4th of July. We discovered that laying on our trampoline in the backyard was BY FAR the very best view of Thanksgiving Pointe's Firework show since they shoot them off in a field just behind our house. We BBQ'd and then we did a few fireworks and sparklers in the cul-de-sac and then headed to the backyard to watch the big show. Logan slept through the whole thing and the kids had a great time. (I don't have a picture of Tyler because he was sitting with our neighbors for most of the time we were out in the cul-de-sac and I didn't make it over there.)

(from back to the front: Tim, Maddie, my Mom, Peter's Dad, Keith (my cousin's friend), Aunt Di, Uncle Ron, cousin Tawna, and half of Joe)

... had a visit from Granny (my Dad's mom) and met cousin Lily (My cousin Mary's baby who is 2 weeks older than Logan and weighed the same and was the same length at birth - look how much she's grown in only 2 weeks compared to Logan!). Granny came on Sunday the 5th and stayed through Tuesday the 7th.

... made a birthday breakfast in bed for Grandma DaNae. (Monday the 6th) Well I guess it wasn't breakfast in bed since she'd been out running that morning and was just getting out of the shower by the time we finished it. But still. We sang Happy Birthday and the kids had fun making crowns and cards and things for her all day. That night we left the kids (except for Logan) with a babysitter and went out to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my mom's birthday! Yummy!

... went to the Children's Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Pointe and let the kids play in the water at Noah's Ark:

... took some cute pictures of big brother Nathan loving on his "yittle baby brudder Yogan"

... went to the park with Devon and Chloe and Aunt Diane and then went swimming at Aunt Diane's house (Tuesday the 7th):

... attempted a first photoshoot of sorts with little Logan and came out with a picture of "Logan the Lion"
some pretty cute "out-takes" (typical gassy newborn expressions - gotta love em!)

and a cute profile shot of Logan looking very "Ehat"

... met Grandma and Grandpa "Doot-da-Doot" (aka: my grandparents) for the first time:

... took Nathan into the doctor for an ear infection. (Thursday the 9th) We have all had a pretty nasty cold since the day I came home from the hospital. Nathan's turned into an ear infection. Mine and Emily's congestion and cough are still lingering but everyone else seems to be pretty much better now.

... went to Uncle Billy's and Aunt Jen's to celebrate Britta's first birthday with hotdogs and cupcakes and pin the tail on the donkey and duck duck goose (We also caught a half smile on little Logan while he was sleeping):

... took Logan back in to get his left ear double checked since he only passed his right ear before we left the hospital (he passed the second time no problems, he just had "birth debris" aka amniotic fluid in his ear the first time around) (Friday the 10th)

... had a picnic at Thanksgiving Pointe with Jessica and the kids (first time that they met Logan) and then all went to the Farm and were joined by Billy, Jen and Britta:

... enjoyed at least one 4 hour stretch of sleep every night and two nights of 5 hour stretches of sleep! And spent a lot of time snuggling and loving on our newest little buddy boy and loving every minute of it!

I really have been feeling so great and this has been SUCH a fabulous recovery! Saturday morning we sent Tyler home with my mom to California to stay with his cousins and we'll bring him home with us when we go to Whiskeytown (camping near Redding California) next week. I was wide awake and almost went for a run but decided to do some yard work first. Then by the time I was done Logan was awake and it was time to get the day going. But I am really feeling that good and will probably start exercising on Monday (My doctor said I was ok to start as soon as I felt up to it since I didn't need any stitches this time)! So anyway! Thanks for all of the love and prayers, they have definately been answered! Logan is SUCH a good baby and the kids have all done SO well transitioning to another member of the family and have been SO VERY helpful. Things couldn't have gone more smoothly. We have been so very blessed!

Janelle, I don't know what to say except you have such a beautiful family. Your children always look so happy, treasure those pictures of Nathan loving on little Logan, the two of them look so much alike (except their coloring) I am so happy for you! Cyndi
