Summer trip to California

So you'll, have to forgive me if I don't remember many details that happened this summer, but it's been awhile! I'm trying to get caught up because my fabulous husband bought me a new camera and I'm SO SUPER excited to be able to post some REAL pictures on my blog! All of the pictures for the last year (at least) have been taken on my iPhone unless they belonged to someone else!

At the very end of the summer we decided to take a last minute trip to California. We'd been wanting to go for awhile but didn't have a car that fit our whole big family in it! Our minivan only had 7 seats in it and we needed one with 8. However, we were also finally closing on our house (we didn't move again but have been trying to close for almost a year and things were finally wrapping up) and opening up a new loan for a car would have made it so we wouldn't have been able to close for even longer! So the day we signed the closing documents on the house we went out and bought a new car! And a few days later we left for California!

The day after we got there we took my Sister and Brother in law's new boat out to the lake and spent the day swimming and soaking up the sun! The kids had SO much fun!

There are a TON of kids in my family so whenever we go anywhere we are quite a sight! Here's a small sampling of the kiddies piled into the boat!

Sweet Emily looking so big feeding 2 month old Brandon.

The next day we decided to pile into Miss B Havin' (my other sisters newest purchase - a fun bus to cart all of their friends or family on fun outings) and head to the coast for a fun day at the beach.

Seriously, the bus ride there and back was almost as fun as the time spent on the beach! What a party!

Here are some sweet pictures of the kids. This was Logan's first time at the beach and he loved it!

Nathan was so funny while we were there! He was covered in sand and was as content as could be just digging and rolling around in the sand!

The kids all playing and just having fun together!

The boys playing football with Peter

Nathan seriously snuggles with Brandon at least a dozen times like this every day! He adores his baby brother and it's so fun to see a soft and tender side to my rambunctious wild little boy!

My dad had been really busy with work and hadn't been able to make it up to Utah for a visit and so this trip was the first time they met.

Logan loved to play Star Wars at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so cute!

We also had fun swimming in the backyard. It was a successful trip full of sunshine, cousins and fun!
