Mount Tyler

So living in a cul-de-sac we acquire a LOT of snow and they don't plow it very often at all. They've told us that it's a private road! Not true. Anyway! So we had an enormous pile (the snow from the whole cul-de-sac) RIGHT in front of our house. Our neighbor took his snow blower and cleared a 3 or 4 foot path in front or our mailboxes so the mailman would still be able to deliver mail to us. Anyway, Tyler has been LOVING this snow pile! And he's been going out everyday to work on his "snow fort". He'd make seats and stairs and caves and slides and all sorts of things. Well anyway, the other day before school they came and decided that they needed to MOVE the mountain to the other side of the cul-de-sac so that the mailman could drive up to our mailboxes. Tyler came RUNNING upstairs absolutely distraught calling,
"Mom!! Mom! They are DESTROYING my snow fort!"
I told him that they were probably just moving it and it'd be fine. He wasn't convinced. He left for school miserable and so upset. Well when they moved it they had a lot more room and could pile all of the snow from the whole street up in one pile and so this thing got HUGE! It's about 15 feet tall and 25 feet wide and just enormous! When Tyler came home from school his face was all lit up and he ran in and said,
"MOM! They may have taken away my fort, but they haven't taken away my HEAVEN!"
And he ran right back outside to start work on his super sized snow fort!

our kids would die to see all that snow - let alone in front of their house!

My boys would be in heaven. We are hoping to make it to the snow this year, but right outside your door, that would be wonderful...for the kids anyway!
