Brandon - Day 2

The next morning I got up and showered and called Peter around 9 to come and get us as soon as he was up and ready. He had to go into work to get a few things done and we checked out of the hospital around 11:30 am.

While we were waiting for Peter to get there I was just sitting on the bed reading and looked over a little Brandon and noticed that he had one tiny finger out of his blanket and up on his chin. I thought it was so cute so I snapped this picture!

My mom had taken the kids to McDonalds to get some lunch and when they came home they all crowded around the bed to swoon over their little brother all over again. It really was the sweetest thing and it took over a month for it to wear off!

Here is Madeline getting to feed Brandon for the first time. Sweet girl is SO good with tiny babies and has been SUCH a great helper!

Brandon's first sleep smile caught on camera.

Auntie Anna came down as soon as we got home to meet Brandon and love on him for awhile. Anna was never able to have children and has always been SO wonderful with all the nieces and nephews and now the great nieces and nephews.

Billy and Jen also stopped by so that Billy and the girls could meet Brandon. Britta and Jocelyn were so cute with him. Jocelyn was clearly interested but didn't really want to hold him and Britta on the other hand was smitten and just wanted to touch him and rub his cheeks and play with his toes.

The kids were all SO antsy for the few hours that we had visitors over! They all REALLY wanted to hold Brandon and were so upset that I told them all that we get to hold him every day all day whenever we want and everyone else didn't get to see him as much so we were going to give them turns right now. It was as if I had told them they could never eat candy again! They were heartbroken! Nathan spent his time waiting for his turn drawing pictures. This one was of baby Brandon wearing a onsie with little mittens on his hands. Cute boy!
