This recipe sounds a little crazy and I'm not a huge fan of swiss cheese but it is delicious! My sister in law made it for us several months ago and it was a HUGE hit with everyone! Even the super picky kids wolfed it down!! I have made it for my dinner group and everyone loves it and begs for me to make it again! Seriously some amazing stuff here!
Creamy Artichoke, Bacon, Sundried Tomato Pasta
4 chicken breasts
1 jar Alfredo sauce
about 1 1/2 cups of real bacon bits
8 oz. Swiss cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 package Italian dressing seasonings
1/2 cube butter (can omit or use some cream cheese instead)
1 can artichoke hearts
about 1 1/2 cups of sun dried tomatoes
1 box Radiatori pasta (can use bow tie or other kinds as well)
Combine all ingredients in Crock Pot (except artichokes, tomatoes and pasta) and cook on low for 6-8 hours (or on High for about 4 hours). About 30 minutes before serving, shred the chicken in the crock pot and then boil and drain the pasta. Add pasta, artichokes and tomatoes to the crock pot before serving; long enough to warm it, but not the whole time it cooks.
*Warning, this recipe makes a TON!! Be prepared for tons of leftovers or invite a big group over for dinner!
